Yes. Open your event and click "Edit" to modify details. For recurring events, you'll be asked whether to edit just this instance, this and future instances, or all instances. Yes. When you invite someone by email who does not have a MOE account, their invitation email includes a secure personal link that lets them respond Going, Maybe, or Can't Go to a free event without signing up. Hosts can also text a guest their personal RSVP link right from the guest list — the text is sent from the host's own phone, not by MOE. Each link is unique to that one invitation and can't be shared or reused. Ticketed events still require an account at checkout. Accepted guest RSVPs count toward your event's capacity just like everyone else's.

What shows up when I share an event link?

When you share an event link — by text, WhatsApp, Telegram, or another app — the recipient's app shows a preview card. For public events the preview includes the event's cover image, name, and description. For private events the preview shows only the cover image (no name, date, or location), so people recognize who the invite is from without exposing the details. Anyone who receives the link can see this preview, so share event links only with people you mean to invite.

How do I host events as an organization?

A host can instead choose to absorb the fees, in which case they're deducted from the host's payout. MOE's fee is 2% either way — only who pays it differs. The exact amounts are shown to the host when pricing a ticket and to the buyer before paying.

If I get a refund, do I get the fees back too?

Money deep-links straight to you and never passes through MOE or Stripe, so there is no platform fee — which also means it is not refundable through MOE, and MOE cannot confirm it arrived (the host confirms receipt). We log only an anonymous tap (never the amount) for your analytics. Availability can depend on your subscription tier, and at least one handle is required before you can publish a Split the Cost event.

Hosts can restrict a public event to guests 18 or older, or 21 or older (for example, events involving alcohol, which by law require attendees to be 21+). To view an age-restricted event you must have your date of birth on your profile and meet the required age. This is based on the birthday you enter — MOE does not verify ages or IDs, so hosts and attendees are responsible for following the law and any age or alcohol regulations. Your birth year is never shown to anyone but you.
